Glasgow-based Rainbow Technology Systems (RTS), a specialist design, manufacturing and consumables supply company has appointed Elaine Macqueen as a design engineer.
Elaine has a strong background in design, test and manufacture for a wide variety of industrial, scientific, and medical applications. Formerly, as a process engineer, Elaine had gained experience in the implementation of a lean manufacture programme to boost operational productivity. She graduated in 2014 with an Honours Degree in Product Design Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
“Rainbow is well known for its innovative approach to design and process automation so I am really excited to be joining the engineering design team,” said Elaine. “I was looking for a challenging position where my product design skills would be deployed on interesting and innovative projects and I have definitely found it at RTS.”
Alastair Bennett, Mechanical Engineering Manager at RTS, said: “We are delighted to welcome Elaine to the team. Her experience and knowledge of product design, process automation and lean manufacture will be a huge benefit to us and our customer base. She is already heavily involved in several projects and has integrated seamlessly into our program of continuous product improvement.”
